1259 Clinical Outcomes of Vascularised Versus Free Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface in Upper Limb Neuromas: A Systematic Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Abstract Aim To compare clinical outcomes of vascularised regenerative peripheral nerve interface (vRPNI) versus free (fRPNI) in upper limb neuromas. Method A systematic review on neuromas treated with either fRPNI or vRPNI was performed October 2022 accordance the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. PubMed search using term “RPNI” performed. Only papers results from patients who had undergone to were included; and laboratory excluded. Patient data collected include underlying aetiology, time interval RPNI procedure, as well mean patient age, post-operative follow-up period neuroma pain score reduction. Results Of 43 identified, only four fulfilled inclusion criteria. This provided for 32 where a total 83 RPNIs (22 vascularised) (43 prophylactically). The means duration pain, length reported follow-up, reduction scores 44.0 years, 1.4 12.2 months 51.3% respectively. Conclusions currently available support use both treatment extremity neuromas, after development symptoms prophylactically at surgery, despite heterogeneity inconsistencies reporting. Further studies are required form randomised control trials assess superiority (or not) vRPNI.

Clinical Outcomes of Open versus Arthroscopic Surgery for Lateral Epicondylitis, Evidence from a Systematic Review
Background: Lateral epicondylitis (LE) also known as tennis elbow is a common disease of middle-aged population.Surgery is a treatment of choice in patients not responded to the conservative management. Open and arthroscopicrelease are the two main choices for LE surgery; however, an overall consensus is not available. This study was aimedto compare the clinical outcomes after conventional open...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface for Control of a Neuroprosthetic Limb
Background. The purpose of this experiment was to develop a peripheral nerve interface using cultured myoblasts within a scaffold to provide a biologically stable interface while providing signal amplification for neuroprosthetic control and preventing neuroma formation. Methods. A Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI) composed of a scaffold and cultured myoblasts was implanted on the ...

متن کاملThe effects of periodontal treatment on pregnancy outcomes: A systematic review of clinical trial studies
Background and Aim: Most recent systematic studies have reported on the role of periodontal disease in adverse pregnancy outcomes, which has paved the way for interventional studies in recent years; However, due to the limited number of clinical trial studies, the results of these studies have not yet been collected in a systematic study; Therefore, the aim of present study was to evaluate the...
متن کاملVascularised bone grafting for fibrous dysplasia of the upper limb.
We describe our experience with vascularised bone grafting for the treatment of fibrous dysplasia of the upper limb in eight patients, five men and three women, aged between 17 and 36 years. The site was in the humerus in six and the radius in two. Persistent pain, progression of the lesion and pathological fracture with delayed union were the indications for surgical intervention. We used a va...
